A homeowner in the 1000 block of Yasek Loop Monday afternoon made a fire call mid-afternoon Monday, and although firefighters found some smoke, no blaze was seen. Toledo Fire Division Chief Larry Robeson said the initial thought is that the fire was electrical in nature, but “once we made it upstairs we confirmed it was not electrical,” he said. Further investigation showed no damage to power in the building. Robeson also ruled out an intentionally set fire. His investigation at this point has led him to “believe it is related to ammunition reloading. The fire started inside a box of brass casings somehow,” Robeson said. An investigation continues. The homeowner was checked for smoke inhalation. There were no other injuries. Four units from Toledo were assisted by one unit from Siletz and one from Newport.
